MS: VHS Master from LD, SVHS, or VHS source. Basically I get a copy of the LD, SVHS or VHS source with free subtitles on it.
EX: Excellent. 1st generation off SVHS or VHS master.
VG: Very Good. 2nd or 3rd generation. Some color bleeding, not really noticeable unless one is 2-3" from screen.
GD: Good. Unknown generation. Noticeable color bleeding, sound starts to degrade. Still adequate for copy making.
FR: Fair. Unstable picture, subtitles start to get hard to read. Color bleeding really noticable.
PR: Poor. Do I have to explain this? Don't request this unless you *really* want it!
Note: The "S" notation on some titles indicate that the title is in SVHS format.
